Recently a client came home from vacation to discover that the entire property was overcome with vines. Everything  was buried by them.  We removed over 70 bags of debris and found a tree that had died and other trees that were severely stressed, with very few leaves.  We rescued a climbing rose that was being pulled over the fence and into another property by an invasive vine and we uncovered the perennial garden.  There peonies and other perennials had been flattened by the weight of the vines.  Vines curled around individual stalks of black eyed susan, obedience plant, hosta flower stems, and other flowers. 

Fortunately, plants have a strong will to live.  Although one tree was lost, over time, the plants will flourish again and the treasure that is this landscape will provide renewed pleasure to the owner.
