About Ellen
Ellen Covner, President of Custom Gardens, LLC, became acquainted with the pleasures of the garden at an early age. Her parents, avid gardeners, taught her to appreciate the serenity and beauty that a garden adds to life.
She became a landscaper through a circuitous route spending many years as a leader practicing health care law with hospitals and other healthcare professionals. But…, the call of the outdoors was stronger and she moved from law to landscaping focusing on promoting environments that nourish people and their properties.
Ellen thrives on creating gardens and landscapes that capture her clients’ wishes – whether it’s recovering the beauty of an overgrown or ailing landscape or developing the possibilities of an empty space that is calling for a more beautiful look. Ellen is a listener who partners with her clients to give them a way of reaching their goals whether they understand the green world or not.
She is a member of:
- Hardy Plant Society/MidAtlantic Group
- Main Line Chamber of Commerce
- Narberth Area Garden Club
- Pennsylvania Horticultural Society
- Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association
- Wynnewood Business Association
Ellen’s lanscaping was recently photographed for an article in the Philadelphia Inquirer.
